Trav'ler and DirectTV

Postby ontheroadagain » Wed May 19, 2010 3:58 pm

I posted this on DirectTV site and did not have any luck. I presently have a SD DVR in my camper and it requires 2 feed cables from the dish on the roof or the portable dish to work. I am looking at purchasing a new camper and it will have a Trav'ler mounted on the roof. Does it require 1 or 2 cables for the HD DVR to operate so I can record one show and watch another at the same time?

Good morning ontheroadagain -

No matter which antenna you go with your DVR will require 2 coax feeds to watch one show and record another. That is how the DVR works.

The TRAV'LER can handle up to 4 single receivers, or 2 DVR's. You will just need to run the second coax to the DVR.

Thank You WINEGARD I will see if I can get the factory to run a second coax through the roof when they are building the unit.
