I have a RoadTrip roof mounted stationary and when I go to bed I leave the anternna on thus it is adjusting all night. Do most people turn them off when not it use?

As long as you aren't changing channels, the antenna should not adjust unless the receiver goes through a software update, which may tell it to toggle satellites.

If it is interfering with your sleep, you may want to power down the antenna when going to bed and then when you wake up, power it back up and search and it should be locked within a few minutes.
