Roadstar antenna

Postby silica » Sun Apr 14, 2013 12:07 pm

I have a Roadstar antenna with manual with picture of amplifier that does not match the amplifier in my RV.

I can't figure out how to wire cables because the picture has a slide switch and mine has a in/out switch with 3 coaxial inputs and one output. the manual shows one coaxial for antenna and one coaxial to 2nd TV. third is the output on face plate. Can Winegard identify the amplifier I can refer to to connect proper cables?

My hard copy manual is for RS-2000 & RS-3460/RS3460B does not match amplifier I have.

The wiring setup is going to be the same for the various faceplaces. Don't worry about button or slide.
The coax that runs to the Roadstar will be screwed to the connection that says Antenna. If one of the connections says Cable, that's where you connect the coax that comes from campground cable. You can connect any of the connections listed as TV out to your TV or to a video control center to share with all TV's.
Just ensure that you get the + and - 12V wires on the correct tabs.

RE: Antenna switch plate. The previous reply explained all three coaxial connections, however when I remove all input cables except the Campground cable and connect my tv cable to the box it is snowy. When I connect campground cable to tv directly, its a perfectly clean picture. I suspect there is something astray with the switchplate. If you are a tech rep can I get a new plate?

The power must be ON to watch OTA TV and the power must be OFF to watch campground cable. If you find this switch faulty you can find a replacement Winegard Power Supply at your local Camping World, your local RV dealer or online from numberous sources. Here's one I found on Amazon.

You can also call Winegard Customer Service and order one directly from Winegard.
