Carryout GM1518 satellite selection

Postby daver » Sun Sep 23, 2012 12:22 pm

I have used the Carryout for several months and found that it works great for either the western or eastern arc Dish satellites. Will it work when I only have one or two satellite in view rather than all three? Some times I can only see one or two satellites because of obstacles.

It will, but you might have to help it get there. Assuming that you already have a good SW64 check switch the dome should be able to lock onto one or 2 satellites. If the 119 satellite is not available you will likely have to force the Carryout to the satellite you think you can locate. You can do this by going to Menu, 6,1,1 and setting the specific satellite you would like the antenna to lock to. Once it does you would power the unit off to avoid having the antenna attempt to move should you select a channel on a different satellite.
