Step 1: Connect Antenna to your TiVo
Connect the coax cable from the wall or from your Winegard antenna to the Antenna In jack on the back of the TiVo box.
Step 2: Connect TiVo Box to your TV
Connect an HDMI or Component Video and Audio cable from Out jacks on the rear of the TiVo box to the matching In ports on your television. Alternatively run a Component audio cable to the In ports on your home theatre system.
Step 3: Connect to your Home Network
To use features such as YouTube, Internet Radio, Amazon Instant Video and more you first need to connect your TiVo box to your home router. If your home network is wired, connect an ethernet cable from the TiVo box to your router. If you are connecting to a wireless router you can connect using the Tivo USB Wireless Network adapter sold separately. If you do not have a broadband connection you will be unable to enjoy internet features and you will need to connect to a local phone line to download program listings.
Step 4: Complete On-Screen Guided Setup
After all connections are made, connect the TiVo box's power cord. Turn on your TV and change your TV's input to the port from step 2. After your TiVo box powers up you will see the guided setup Welcome screen. Follow the prompts and remember to select "antenna only" or "cable & antenna" when asked to choose your programming source.
