DIRECTV Off-Air Antenna Guide

If using a DIRECTV D11 or H20 receiver with integrated off-air tuner inputs, connect the coax cable running from your OTA antenna to the OTA input on the back of your receiver.
If your receiver does not have an integrated off-air input, the DIRECTV AM21N Off-Air Dual Tuner (AM21) is available.
• Disconnect the power cable from the back of the
DIRECTV Receiver.
• Connect the USB cable from the DIRECTV USB OFFAIR
TUNER to the DIRECTV Receiver.
• Connect the off-air antenna to the DIRECTV USB
OFF-AIR TUNER.
• Connect the power cable that comes with the
DIRECTV USB OFF-AIR TUNER to the DIRECTV
Receiver.
• Connect the power cable that was removed from the
DIRECTV Receiver to the DIRECTV USB OFF-AIR
TUNER.
Note: The following DIRECTV Receiver models are
compatible with the USB Off-Air Tuner: DIRECTV Plus®
HD DVR (models HR21 and above, DIRECTV Plus® DVR
(R22 model only), DIRECTV HD (models H21 and above) or
DIRECTV Home Media Center.

A message will appear, asking you to select OK to configure your off-air antenna now. Select OK.

Select Initial Setup. When requested, enter the zip code of your current location. Select Done.
|

Press Exit to exit the menu. Press Guide on your remote; the local channels will be displayed with a darker background than the satellite channels.
|

|
|
To check the signal strength of each available local channel, press Menu, select Parental Fav's & Setup and then System Setup.
Then, select Sat & Antenna, Antenna Setup, Edit Off-Air Channels, and finally Signal Meter.
Press Select to check the signal strength of a channel, and press +/- to cycle between channels.
