Sensar (Batwing) - Bent wings
Date Modified: 2009-02-09

Question:
The Winegard Sensar antenna was installed on my 5th wheel when I purchased it new. Due to high winds while driving, one of the batwings has been bent at a 90 degree angle (upwards), and I would like to replace only the head. Can I replace just the head, and is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

Tech Tip:
The replacement is P/N RV-2005 for a Sensar III head. If your antenna is pretty close to the front edge of your roof, then you might be able to prevent this from happening again by installing our BW-1000 a few inches in front of the wing that folded. The BW-1000 is designed to break up the wind hitting the antenna in situations like this.
