FT-7600 - Tools required
Date Modified: 2009-02-07

Question:

I have purchased 2 of the Winegard FT-7600 FM traps and I am trying to tune out one station in particular. I adjust the inductors over the entire range, but I see no noticeable attenuation. I am using a plastic hex tool to perform the adjustment. Is there a trick to tuning these traps?

Tech Tip:

The FT-7600 requires the use of a spectrum analyzer, signal level meter, scope, or other device that can be tuned to the frequency you desire to reduce. Without having a marker to see where you are you will go through the frequency before you know it. Maybe you can find a local TV shop that has a meter and can tune these traps for you.
