HDP-269 - Insulator boots
Date Modified: 2009-04-18

Question:
The HDP-269 amplifier comes with two rubber weather boots for the F-connectors.  It appears that the cable-end of the boots are too small to slip over the F-connectors in order to get them onto the RG6 cable. What is the trick for getting those boots onto the RG6 cable?  All my cables have the F-connectors pre-assembled onto the cable.

Tech Tip:
The boots will not fit over cables with the connector already attached unless you cut the bottom of the boot so it will slip over the cable. You will still have the rain shield to protect the connection.
