I have a Winegard antenna and I am having some picture issues. I am getting a lot of pixlation and choppyness. I believe that I may have too much signal as I am very close to the broadcast towers. Is there a way I can reduce my signal?
It is possible that with the built in amplifier in the antenna you are actually over driving the digital tuner with too much signal which will cause it to drop signal, tile, pixellize, and go searching for signal just as if you do not have enough signal. You can order a TA-8700 adjustable attenuator from your local dealer. Use our dealer locator to find a dealer in your area. Install this attenuator ahead of your converter box and reduce the incoming signal to see what happens. You can also try installing a 2-way (SP-1002) or a 4-way (SP-1004) splitter inbetween the antenna and your TV set to reduce the signal.
