We have a Winegard DA-1018 distribution amplifier used with our CATV system at home. We are thinking of adding a broadband internet cable modem. Will this unit work since the DA-1018 is a "push-pull" amplifier? Also the DA-1018 has 18dB forward gain. What is the gain for the return path?
The DA-1018 does not have a return path. The push pull circuit has to do with the type of transistor circuit. You will need to replace the DA-1018 with a HDA-100 or an HDA-200 which do have return paths.
