We purchased the omnidirectional Winegard RS-1500 for our boat and installed it as directed. Our TV is brand new and HD ready. The little red light on the bottom of the antenna is not on. Does this mean that the antenna is bad?
No, it means that the antenna is not getting 12V power. Without this the antenna is not doing anything. Check your wall plate to make sure you are getting 12VDC from it. If you are follow the connections until you find where the 12V is being lost. If you are not getting 12VDC from your wall plate then it probably needs replaced.
