Sensar (Batwing) - Improving Reception
Date Modified: 2009-01-31

Question:
We have a 2006 5th wheel that came with a Winegard batwing, crank antenna. We replaced the unit's analogue TV with a HDTV.                Will the original Winegard antenna pick up digital broadcasts, and is there an antenna upgrade that will better serve our 5th wheel's reception?

Tech Tip:

The Digital Transition doesn’t mean much to the antenna. The signal is still the same. What they are sending is the difference.
That said, some channels will be broadcasting on different frequencies and you may find that you would do better by adding our Wingman accessory to the Batwing. This helps with UHF channels. Just click on the link below.
