The Roadstar is digital ready. The difference is that where the analog signal starts perfect and slowly gets worse until it becomes more snow than picture. Digital starts perfect and stays perfect until you no longer have enough signal to work with and then you get a blue or black screen. You will get something further with Analog but you will get great picture further with Digital.
